In-app alerts appear in rainiscoming while it is open. Device notifications can appear as a browser alert while the app is open. Background push can reach this device when rainiscoming is closed.

Background push sends this browser’s Firebase installation ID, forecast-grid cell, and alert threshold to rainiscoming’s server. Raw GPS coordinates and postal codes are not sent. If no location is set, the default Singapore forecast area is used.
